What are you waiting for? Jump in already!

fulfil your dreams

Hey there. Remember that time when life was so impossibly hard that you gave up, crawled into a hole and died?

No? Of course not. Why? Because you’re still alive. You got out of bed this morning. You’re reading this post right now. You’ll do a thing later. You’ll be awesome at doing that thing.

After all the craziness you’ve had to deal with in this world, you’re still keeping on. And you’re doing a pretty decent job of it. Kudos friend!

So, with that in mind, let me just go ahead and ask … what the hell are you waiting for? You know what you want to do. Your heart has told you. Your brain agreed, “Yep, that’s it!” And those two rarely agree.

Why won’t you take that step—risk and all—that you know will change your life?

Given the stats of your life to this point, even if it goes terribly wrong (It won’t), you’ll survive (You will).

You’ll carry on. And you’ll be 12x stronger for the experience—regardless of the outcome.

No ifs ands or buts

But Caitlin …

What if I can’t? (You can)

What if it backfires? (You’ll live)

What if I don’t know how to? (You’ll learn)

See here’s the thing.

I know you don’t have total clarity about how to make it happen or what the end result will look like. You don’t have all the answers yet.

But you can’t keep deferring your dreams, because clarity never comes from sitting on the fence.

When you know that you want something, that it’s what you were meant to have, and that  your community and the whole world will benefit from you being in this position of self-fulfillment, then committing to it will unleash a tremendous amount of creative power that already lives inside of you.

It’s the same creative power that helped you navigate all those adversities you navigated over the past few years, that got you anything you’ve ever wanted. But this time, it’s taking you to the big leagues.

And all you need to do is COMMIT. Decide to do it, start to move forward and you WILL figure it out. Just like you always have.

No more testing the waters and dabbling in your dreams. You’re wasting precious time. You gotta quit analyzing every last possible outcome and letting the negative ones hold you up.

Just do the damn thing.

Making a commitment opens doors and creates possibilities. It signals to the universe that you’re ready … start sending opportunities your way. Clear the path, here you come.

But you won’t see the opportunities until you have fully stepped onto that path.

You’ve already committed to so many things in the past. Doubt. Perfectionism. Worry.  Managing your image.

Can you imagine what would happen if you put that energy into committing to the path that you actually want? That’s your destiny.

Plus …

How could taking a leap towards your dreams really be a bigger risk than staying on the fence and doing nothing? How could it possibly be worse than walking through each day knowing you’re not living up to your potential? Than having deferred your dreams for the rest of your life?

And, if you can’t fully commit to your dreams, who the heck will?

That investor won’t invest.

That partner won’t say “yes.”

That firm won’t say “you’re hired.”

Burn all the boats
Don’t tell me about the time you made a half-hearted effort to go after your dreams and you got shut down. That’s not evidence that you shouldn’t go for it.
You weren’t committed. You weren’t diving in … success or bust!
You didn’t put yourself in a situation where you’d be forced to get creative and find answers. You played it safe and the world responded in kind.
Like Tony Robbins says, if you want to stay on the island, burn the boats.
So how do you “burn your boats” so there’s no turning back? So you are fully committed to getting it done? Here are a few ideas:

  • Tell all your friends and family about your plan
  • Put it on social media
  • Find someone you admire that you’d rather die than disappoint to hold you accountable
  • Make it expensive for you to go back to your old ways (Check out this app )
  • Buy the pants even though they don’t fit yet
  • Book a one-way ticket
  • Invest your money in the program even if you don’t have it
  • Quit your job

There are a hundred other ways. You’ll figure it out. Remember, you always have.
You’re ready. You’ve got to reach for something that makes your time on this planet everything it was meant to be. And you’ve got to commit.
You’ve got this.
